Pure Maple Selection Process

Pure Maple National Team Development Program Teams will be selected upon the following process:

Premiere Event:

  • Summer West Coast NARCH Finals

Teams Selected:

  • Elite (one team per age group selected from the top rated players across Canada).
  • Development (one or more teams per age group selected from across the country to provide an opportunity for further development and evaluation towards our national team program).

Rosters:

  • 8-10 skaters and 1-2 goalies

Pre-Selection:

  • Team Canada National Team Staff may pre-select up to 8 skaters and 1 goaltender per team based on previous evaluations and experience with Canada Inline programs.
  • Every team must have AT LEAST 2 skater and 1 goaltender position open and to be filled from the tryout process across the country.
  • ALL players, even pre-selected, are required to register for the tryout process.
  • Players with an excused conflict or who live in an area not hosting a tryout, may register as an “unable to attend” selection.

Tryout Evaluations:

  • Players will be evaluated at their local tryout.
  • Immediately following the final tryout time, a list will be posted with player selections for Elite and Development Teams.
  • Players will have 24 hours from the posting of the list to go online and complete their team registration and uniform information in order to guarantee their position on the team before the spot can be offered to another player.
  • Players and families are expected to review all necessary information, dates, fees, etc. in advance of the tryout to ensure they are ready to make a commitment if selected.

Final Team Postings:

  • Once all tryouts are complete across the country, team rosters will be finalized and posted online and information about booking travel arrangements, block hotels, schedules, etc. will begin to be communicated with the teams.  Canada Inline asks that all families do not arrange travel and accommodations until receiving this final information from Canada Inline.
