The International Federation of Roller Sports (FIRS) has been recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the world governing body of roller sports. The long standing relationship between Canada Inline and FIRS has given Canada Inline the opportunity to lead the proposal for participation as a non Olympic sport in the 2015 Pan Am Games and continue to participate in annual World Inline Championship events.
