Canada Inline Partners With NARCH to Launch “Pure Maple” National Team Development Program

Canada Inline Partners With NARCH to launch “Pure Maple” National Team Development Program

Canada Inline is excited to partner with North American Roller Championship Hockey (NARCH), the longest standing, largest, and premiere club team roller hockey event in the sport.  As part of Canada Inline’s newly revised National Team development program, players will be selected from across the country through Canada Inline’s tryout and application process to build one Pure Maple Elite team in each age category (8u, 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u, 18u, 21u), and Women's, in the platinum divisions at NARCH west coast finals in July as well as a men’s NARCH Pro team.  The partnership will also provide a plethora of other opportunities for all Canadian players to experience a first class event and grow their love for the sport, for players of all ages and ability levels.

The platinum division at NARCH finals is well known as one of the most elite levels of roller hockey at each age group on the planet and serves as the perfect breeding ground to develop top Canadian talent from across all provinces while playing together under Canada Inline coaches and Pure Maple club team banner.  In addition, NARCH offers several lower levels of play; perfect for the young athletes who aren’t quite ready for the elite levels, but still want a tournament experience and to develop their skills towards their goals for the future.

“This addition to the Canadian National Development Program marks an exciting day for the foundation of achieving our goal of becoming the world leader in roller hockey on the world stage at the highest levels,” said Ben Frank, Canada Inline President.

In addition to the top players from each province competing together for their provincial team at State Wars each summer, the top few selected players from each province across the country will come together to build one nationally represented team at each age group and compete together in NARCH platinum. Additionally, all players who attend tryouts will have the opportunity to be selected for an event opportunity that is appropriate for their experience and skill level as they continue on their own development path.

The combination of the provincial and national team constructions will provide a unique program that develops the top talent within each province and then unites the best of the best from across the country. Our most talented and committed players are exposed to the best events and competition our sport has to offer each season. The compounding effect of a program that offers more opportunities to compete at top events, year over year, will provide experienced, developed, and bonded players and coaches under a clear vision by the time our young players reach the Jr. and Sr. World Team levels where they will compete for Team Canada, on the world stage.

“NARCH is very excited about the direction of the sport in Canada, led by Canada Inline.  The Pure Maple Program will give more players great opportunities in the sport.  We’re excited to see the Pure Maple Teams represented at the NARCh FINALS and future NARCh Events.”  Daryn Goodwin - NARCH

Tryouts for both the national and provincial programs will begin at the end of April and early registration is open now.  Meka Trepanier, Director of Hockey Operations for Canada Inline, will be working closely with NARCH to coordinate formats and policies to ensure that all teams are selected through a fair and competent tryout process in accordance with NARCH club rules.

“It’s critical that the tryout process in Canada is clean, open, and ethical to ensure that every kid has an equal opportunity to represent their province and country. “ Meka Trepanier - Director of Hockey Operations Canada Inline.
