Sponsoring a player information enclosed :
Please take a moment to understand the difference between a sponsorship payment and a player payment.
PLAYER PAYMENTS :
Anyone can go online and make a payment of any amount towards the total dues of a player. The player receiving this money will get 100% of the value, not exceeding the total amount they owe. This the perfect way for friends and family to contribute amounts like $25-$50-$100 towards helping someone on their trip.
Sponsoring a player :
I wish to sponsor a player through my work / company. Sponsoring a player is the greatest gift you gan give an athlete. The hours that go into their goals through training are endless and your help to get them there is forever thanked.
Key factor to note is that a company making a contribution is recorded as a sponsorship donation. It is not recorded as a charitable contribution. When making your payment you will receive an email from Paypal confirming that the payment has been made to Canada Inline. You will NOT receive a charitable tax receipt for this transaction.
The Process :
Players who will receive money as player payments will be notified by our accounting department what the balance is on their account owing. Once their dues are paid in full they will be marked as paid and they are ready to go for the event.
Players who will receive money as a sponsorship please follow along the procedures bellow
- We have different levels of sponsorship available for you to help an athlete with.
Click here to view the details of our Sponsorship Packages - For all sponsorships that are $500 (Bronze Packages) or above, Canada Inline retains 10%.
This retainer is to offset, administrative fees, banking fees, postage fees and commemorative thank you items at identified price points. - For any amount that is lower than our Bronze Package ($500), we recommend that it is a Player Payment and not a sponsor. This way, the full amount can be put towards the player and Canada Inline does not retain a % as the sponsor would not be receiving any commemorative item.
- All incoming funds to Canada Inline first go towards a players team fees. Once the players team fees have been paid off, then additional funds will be reimbursed to the player. In order for a player to receive the additional funds, the player must provide Canada Inline (accounting@canadainline.com) with applicable receipts or photos of receipts (ie..air travel, training expenses, hotel, transportation, meals, etc..). Providing proof of receipts is to protect the player for tax reasons. We don't want it to come across that Canada Inline is paying the athlete, we want to ensure it is evident that Canada Inline is just transferring funds.
- Reimbursements will be issued via an e-transfer, 7-10 days after receiving applicable receipts.
- All sponsorship thank you gifts (for sponsorships of at least $1000) will be mailed out at the end of September, once the tournament season has been completed.
- Should a sponsor require a standard invoice/receipt, please email accounting@canadainline.com
- Should you have any questions about your sponsorship of an athlete, please email info@canadainline.com
