Canada Inline Selection Process.
TRYOUTS
Canada Inline will hold open tryouts in multiple provinces across the country, identifying players for Team Canada and Pure Maple Teams (both Elite & Development). Anyone is welcome to attend these tryouts and join the opportunity in being selected to represent Canada Inline at various tournaments. Please note that pre-registration online is required in order to participate.
Evaluators
Canada Inline will have a consistent staff of people who will travel to each tryout location. This is our guarantee to the players, that we are conducting a fair and ethical tryout process, where all players are seen equally by the same set of eyes. All players will be put through the same set of drills and scrimmage formats in all regions of tryouts.
Teams Selected
TEAM CANADA & PURE MAPLE ELITE
Team Canada and Pure Maple Elite will select one elite team per age category from across the whole country for a specific event. Tryout Process
- Players will be evaluated at their local tryout skate.
- Once the trouts across the country have concluded Players will be notified by Email or Phone Call about their placement into Canada Inline teams.
- Players will have 24 hours from the communication of placement, to go online and complete their team registration and uniform information, in order to guarantee their position on the team before the spot can be offered to another player.
- Players and families are expected to review all necessary information, dates, fees, etc. in advance of the tryout to ensure they are ready to make a commitment if selected.
Players Who Are Not Able To Attend a Tryout
- While we would love to have all players attend the tryout process, we are aware that there are many talented players who either live abroad, or are out of town with other hockey commitments. We are allowing those players to apply for the team by submitting their online application. These applications will all be read and players will be given an equal opportunity to play on one of the teams being offered.
Final Team Postings
- Once all tryouts are complete across the country, team rosters will be finalized and posted online. Information about booking travel arrangements, hotels, schedules, etc. will be communicated with the teams. Canada Inline asks that players and families do not arrange travel and accommodations until receiving this final information from Canada Inline staff.
