Canada Inline Sponsorship Process (For Players)
Canada Inline accepts sponsorship towards player costs, while withholding a 10% administration, processing and sponsor recognitions. If a player receives a $500 sponsorship, Canada Inline retains $50 and the player will get $450 to be used towards player dues and direct costs for playing in such tournaments.
There are 3 ways that sponsorship money will be applied or dispersed.
- If a player has an open balance of player fees, then the sponsor funds received will be directly applied to the fee balance.
For example, Players balance is $1500 and sponsor pays $500. The $450 of the sponsors money will be applied to players balance and the player will now be responsible to pay the new balance of $1050. - If a player has paid personally for their player fees, then the amount personally paid above the sponsor amount will be refunded.
- For example, if a player pays $1500 for their fees personally, and a sponsor of $500 comes in, $450 of the sponsors $500 will be applied to the player’s fee and then the player will receive $450 of their personally paid money back via the bank systems e-transfer service. Player will need to provide accounting@canadainline.com an email address to use for their e-transfer.
- If a sponsorship amount surpasses the total player fees, players must provide an expense report (Player Expense Report for Sponsor Funds) with receipts showing the direct cost expenses related to such tournament play (i.e. airfare, hotel, meals, transportation, equipment).
For example, if a player pays $1500 for their fees and a sponsor of $2000 comes in, $1800 of the sponsors $2000 will be applied to the player’s fee and then the player will receive $1500 of their personally paid money back. To receive the additional $300, the player must provide the expense report (Player Expense Report for Sponsor Funds). Once the expense report and e-transfer email address is received at accounting@canadainline.com, the funds will be sent to player via the bank systems e-transfer service.
Sponsorship payments will be processed to players on Tuesdays of each week. Should a player know a sponsor payment was made it is imperative that the player email accounting@canadainline.com to ensure a quick refund is processed.
*** These are sponsorships and not donations so companies will receive a receipt of payment but not a charitable contribution receipt.
