Canada Inline Covid Update - May 15th

Dear Canadian Roller and Inline Hockey Community,

We miss and love all of you dearly and can’t wait to get back on the rink together!

As you know, all across Canada is still under a Stay At Home Order, but of course we are monitoring things closely and working with all of this summer’s events (World Skate, NARCH, State Wars) and will be updating you as soon as we have more specific information about timelines for the events this summer.

Unfortunately, many leagues have had to postpone their seasons for 1 year, while others are still hopeful they can run a shortened season at some point.  We have an amazing group of passionate leaders across the country driving our leagues and I am confident they will all be back stronger than ever and continue to grow our great sport.

During this time, our staff has been continuing to work on planning and improving our programs, while posting updates, throwbacks, and live interviews to our social media accounts.  Stay tuned for more live interviews to come!

Thank you again for your patience during this unprecedented time and for the incredible support with your emails, social hashtags, and live social media interaction!  We understand this is not an easy time for our families with life disrupted.  Your continued support overwhelms us and proves over and over that the inline hockey community is special and we are grateful for you!

Just some reminders that rest assured, any tryout fees collected are being held as a credit on each player’s account and will be able to be applied to any updated tryout process and/or events we hold this summer, winter, or next year’s tryout.  They of course also have the option to be refunded.  We do continue to plan on re-launching all of these programs as soon as we are able and will communicate any modified dates.  Currently NARCH West, StateWars and World Championships are all still on schedule.

We will continue to update you as we have final decisions, guidelines, and directives on any updated dates to all of the events, as well as tryout process, and tournament block dates.

Our top priority remains the health and safety of our staff and the inline hockey community at large. So, please stay safe and stay at home.  We will all get through this together and can’t wait to be back on the rink with you!

Whats next:

  • World Skate is expected to make an announcement in the next 7-10 days regarding their plans.

  • Dave Hammond will be interviewing our Canada Inline Alumni on FB live video calls (expect a wealth of information, great stories and some laughs) please tune in to ask questions and get involved.
